Dr. FANG Yulin (方�麟博士)

 

Yulin Fang is an associate professor in the Department of Information Systems, City University of Hong Kong. He earned his Ph.D. at Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University (formerly known as University of Western Ontario). His current research interests are digital innovation, knowledge management, digital platform, and social media. His research has been published (or will appear) in journals including Strategic Management Journal, MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Management Studies, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Decision Support Systems, among others. He received the 2009 Senior Scholars Best IS Publication Award and a number of conference best paper awards. He received the Associate Editor of the Year Award with Information Systems Research in 2015. He was an Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research (2012-2016). He is currently Senior Editor for Information Systems Research and Information Systems Journal.

Prior to his PhD, Yulin served in the management / technology consulting industry, specialized in e-business strategy, marketing strategy and IT strategic planning. He also provided independent consultancy services on knowledge/Innovation management for Canadian Government and Alcatel Global. Yulin is a professional case writer, having developed business cases for major technology and financial corporations operating in emerging markets, such as Alcatel China, Google China, Tencent, Alibaba, HK Stock Exchange, HK Airport, Uber and Didi Kuaidi. Two of his cases were top 20 best-sellers at Ivey Business School Publishing and European Case Clearing House respectively.

Prof. ZHAO J Leon

Dr. J. Leon Zhao is Chair Professor and former Head (2009-2015) of the Department of Information Systems at City University of Hong Kong. He was Interim Head and Eller Professor in MIS, University of Arizona and taught previously at HKUST and College of William and Mary, respectively. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, M.S. degree from UC Davis, and B.S. degree from Beijing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization. His research is on information technology and management, with a particular focus on workflow technology and applications in knowledge distribution, e-learning, supply chain management, organizational performance management, and services computing. Leon's research has been supported by NSF, SAP, and other sponsors. Leon has been associate editor of ACM Transactions on MIS, Information Systems Research, IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, Decision Support Systems, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, International Journal of Business Process Integration and Management, International Journal of Web and Grid Services, and International Journal of Web Services Research and is on the editorial board of Journal of Database Management.

Dr. LI Yanzhi David (李�志博士)

Dr LI Yanzhi obtained his Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and PhD degree in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. My research interests include: (1) Solving practice-triggered challenging problems with analytics and optimization and developing actionable plans and systems. I am currently working on projects spanning logistics, retailing, e-commerce and health care operations. (2) Interface research between Operations and Marketing/Finance, such as pricing and inventory management, channel management, and supply chain finance. I am interested in both examining interesting new phenomena and digging out managerial insights and solving operationally challenging problems;  (3) Sustainablity and operations management. One of our papers on carbon footprint and supply chain management has been listed as ISI highly cited in 2014.

Prof. CHEN Youhua Frank (�友�教授)

Youhua (Frank) Chen [�友�] is Professor of Management Sciences at City University of Hong Kong. He holds a bachelor degree in Engineering, master degree in Economics, and doctoral degree in Management from Tsinghua University (Beijing), the University of Waterloo, and the University of Toronto, respectively. After finishing his PhD, he went to Northwestern University as a post-doc fellow (9/1996-6/1997). Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, Prof. Chen was on the faculty of NUS Business School, National University of Singapore (7/1997-6/2001) and the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2001-2012), respectively. Courses which Prof. Chen taught in NUS include Operations Management and Supply Chain Management, at both undergraduate and MBA levels. He was also actively involved in executive teaching (EDP and EMBA). At CUHK, he taught Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and served as the deputy director and director for the Executive Master of Science Program (EMSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, a joint program with Tsinghua University (Shenzhen). Prof. Chen has also been involved in consulting projects in the area of supply chain management and logistics. His current research projects span from logistics/supply chains, weather risk management to healthcare operations management. Research Areas:Inventory Models,Risks in supply chains,Emerging Issues in supply chains,Healthcare management.
